Ice Pack Contents

Ice packs ( cooling unit ) are plastic blow moulded article which are manufactured by combination of LDPE / HDPE Polyethylene granules which meet the standard requirement specification of polythene granules which are safe for food stuffs & pharmaceuticals products. The mouth of the ice packs ( cooling unit ) is capped with plug made up of LDPE ( Low Density Polyethylene ) granules and sealed by heat to avoid any leakages & damage to the ice pack.

The ingredients used inside the Ice packs contains a BRINE solution prepared by a mixture of super salts, white fluppy powder which are High molecular weight cross linked polymer of acrylic acid & demineralized water which are non – toxic & non- hazardous. The polymers are in its dry form & a powder of crystalline structure. The Polymers are soluble in water & are HYGROSCOPIC in nature. The polymers are an extremely efficient rheology modifier capable of providing high viscosity and forms sparkling gels.

Toxicity

The ingredients inside the Ice Pack are high molecular weight polymer. It is not absorbed by body tissues and is totally safe for human oral consumption. Test for toxicological tolerance show that it does not have pronounced physiological action and is non toxic.

Chilling Properties

On refrigeration Ice Pack can retain the cool temperature level for 48 hours to 72 hours. Low temperature necessary for vaccines, can be store in pre-refrigerated COOLENT gel, making it as a suitable medium for transportation of the vaccines

Storage

• Store in original end packing cartoon in cool dry place at temperature not exceeding 30 °C
• Do not stack more than 3 cartoons

Caution

• The contents should not be eaten or used in drinks
• Should be discarded, if found leaked or punctured
